  • light cache rendering

I guess light cache rendering is doing some weird things. I got a scene from which I need to do a fast previews. My first and second GI engines are set to Light Cache. But after finishing Light Cache calculation Vray doen't start rendering final image, but it starts doing prepases like calculating Irradiance map. Is something wrong or is it normal procedure. I'm wondering because in other scenes it is doing like Light Cache calculation and then rendering. No prepasses are being performed.

Sounds like you have PPT enabled. Make sure you read the help and understand the various render modes. PPT isn't necessarily the fastest method for getting previews. And it doesn't do a final "rendering pass" as you may be accustomed to.
