  • Camera isn't updating

I don't know what's going on here, but I can only get one camera to render. All other cameras only render the first camera.

I have to close and open MAX again to be able to render out another camera.

Its an ages old bug in max. You have to set all your viewports to the camera you want to render, then it will update. Sometimes max gets hung up on a different viewport and it won't render your camera no matter what. We have this issue a lot when sending jobs to deadline, so forcing all 4 viewports to THE camera you want will fix that issue.

Agreed. Drove me mad on one job with multiple cameras - such a time-waster. Weird shit.

I have this like 10 times a day, I don't have to close max though I just choose the right camera in the settings and press the render button on my toolbar not in the VFB and 90% of the time that fixes it.

If I pick the camera film gate up/down anything, the camera pops back into existence.

Right click on the move icon to see it's coordinates in world space and you can use text entry to set it to 0,0,0

used to have that but in max 2015. clicking "lock view to render" off and on again and than max's "render" button was my fix for that.

right mouse click on spinner in max brings it to 0 or default value. quicker.

Does this happen when you're in 4-viewport mode ?
