  • Motion blur, VrayCam excluded bug?

    Hello,
Scene - exterior with one car moving on street.
VrayCamera - animated, on each frame one setup for one image perspective.
I was unable to exclude the VrayCamera from MB, there is either nothing or everything.
    MB in camera rollout checked
    MB in vray settings/camera checked
    CameraMB in vray settings/camera unchecked
Unless I delete the keys in Vraycam, MB is computed on the camera as well. All keys set to stepped, duration 0,5, interval center 0 or 0,5 does not matter. I also tried to set MBsamples of the VrayCam to 1 to kill MB, doesnt help. In the end I found out that as long as you do not animate the focal length, everything works fine. So it seems Vray can exclude the motion of the camera object, however not the "zoom" motion.

Is this a bug or something unevitable?

    thanks for help in advance

Thanks for the report. It seems that there is motion blur when animating the camera focal length regardless of the 'Camera motion blur' option. Logging it as a bug (internal bug-tracking system: VMAX-9532), and forwarding it to our developers for further analysis.

      thanks for quick reaction Alexandar,
just a side note, I did not check this, but I would expect that also vertical tilt, when animated ( which is "always" obviously) might cause same problems as well
