  • IPR Light cache constantly updating - IPR Unusable

    Hi there,

Im having an issue with vray IPR that is making it a bit unusable. In this scene, when I click IPR start, it loads, starts rendering and if I zoom into the framebuffer or anything, it automatically refreshes the light cache and starts rebuilding it over and over again. I have no options checked on when right clicking in the frame buffer. It also happens when I just click objects in the scene.

There was a bug before that if you had multiple instanced cameras, this would cause it to happen, but in this case; I only have 2 and they are not instanced.

    Any thoughts?

    Hi spencerrayfitch,
This happens sometimes to me when inserting external assets. Usually it is because a material uses a rogue incompatible map like the dreaded Raytrace. I think VRay warns you in that case. Do you have any warnings in the log ?

The only "Flags" I get are the green and they are about "Unlocked highlight and reflection glossiness is no longer supported and will be ignored'

          Just a few tips :
Try to run vray scene converter
Try to identify the problematic object(s) : Hide all objects, start IPR, then start turning layers on one by one until it breaks. Once you identify the layer do the same for the objects in that layer.
Are you using plugins that constantly refresh the view, like AVIZ A2Dimage ?
