  • VrayVrmatMtl (.vrmat converter) works not for Multi/Sub-Material?

    Hello,
I was testing the new VrayMat Converter in 3dsMax with one Object and exported to Maya and assigned VrayVrmatMtl.
It only gave a single Material at the same object (which is completely wrong).

Is that correct or did I something wrong?
Is there another way to translate something like this?

    Thanks

Thanks for the report. We are aware of this limitation (internal bug-tracker id: VMAX-4795) and we'll see what we can do about it. You can try adding all the Multi/Sub-plugged materials in a library and export it as a .vrmat and afterward apply them manually to your object faces.

      Does this have a solution?
I have pretty insane model with literally hundreds of materials in one Multi-Sub slot and I need to export it from Max to Houdini.
I am just trying to find least painful way how to migrate it...
      Thanks!

Not quite yet. A script may do the trick.
