  • VRayLightMtl Direct Illumination working only in IPR mode. Behaves as if turner OFF in regular production rendering.

VRayLightMaterial is behaving as if Direct Illumination is off even though it is on. It works fine in IPR mode though.

I attached a few images with description showing what I mean.

I've tried messing with a few settings to see if I could make ir work in PR mode (cutoff, adaptive lights, etc) to no avail.

I did test VRayLightMtl with a larger object and it seemed to have worked. It's not working in this case with small spheres though.

Am I missing something? Let me know. Here's the 3ds max file for this project: https://drive.google.com/open?id=1bg...8orijikVa3-PZx (3Ds Max 2019, latest V-Ray version, and tyFlow)

Thanks for the report. It seems the direct illumination option does not work when applied to tyFlow geometry (it does for tySpline, however). I've logged the issue (internal bug-tracker id: VMAX-9693) for developer analysis.
