Eheh, this is clever. ^^
But may i ask what is wrong with using the AD recommended approach?
Doesn't the scene converter take care of the -proper and automatic- cleaning of the extra mR attributes?
Or was there a reason to drag them along more max versions?Lele

You can likely find which function is used, and let it run on a batch of max files at once, but yes, it'd be nice to have a global ignore.

It is an Autodesk MAX problem and they don't seem to care. Why they don't have a hotfix yet, I don't know.Bobby Parker

That's very annoying for sure.

Not all studio got a coder to make a script to achieved such stupid time consuming task.

Attached, the scene converter (this is in max 2021.) set up to browse a folder to clean up the files therein.
Optionally it can make backups (notice my option is off).
The first option is also valid: "convert referenced".
A matter of workflow choices, i guess, which one one would want to useLele

I think the main point is being missed. When you add a Forest Pro element, you get the errors, Railclone, the errors, SigerShaders, the error. I have to click through 100's of Metal Ray errors a day. Unless I am missing something.Bobby Parker

You should talk to the makers of each, as it's their responsibility to clean the assets they distribute.
Particularly because if they do not do so themselves, there's a risk you're back to square 1 at each update.Lele

They have, the converter is the tool for this.
Leave it in auto mode, it'll do the job on file load.Lele
