  • VRayHDRI paths to relative?

I have been working with very large projects with a client using VRayHDRI node for the textures. I need to use VRayHDRI because there are hundreds of UDIM tiles and they can't be loaded with max multitile due to limitation of tiles it supports.

At present my client needs to replace paths of each file and there are more than dozen materials. This is quite a hard task.

My question is, is there a way I could make the VRayHDRI node paths relative or is there a script that could help us?

Max Asset Browser does not recognize any of the files loaded this way.

The script is easy enough to write, provided one knows what the relative path is.
If it's just the filename (and your client uses the external file paths in Max to find the bitmaps), then it's likely easy enough to write.
However, each pipeline has different needs, so that may not work out well for you.
