I'm trying to pass some command line options to 3dsmax.exe using the VRaySpawner "cmdparams" option, but I can't seem to get it to work. The documentation says this:
-cmdparams="<parameters_string>"
Specifies a string to be provided directly as an argument to the spawned application.
but in an old post (Maya 2013/2014) I found this in a reply:
another helpful switch is -cmdparams which can be used to pass arguments to vray.exe.
So maybe it's not for the spawned application? I'm basically trying to start max with an alt plugin ini (-p option in 3dsmax.exe) along with a startup script (-u option), but no matter how I format cmdparams, it never seems to be passed through to 3dsmax.exe
Any insight on how this should be used would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks,
Martijn
