  • UV bug with RailClone in Standalone?

    3ds Max 2020.3 (22.3.0.3165)
    V-Ray 4.30.00 (build 00001)
    V-Ray Standalone, version Next Standalone, update 3.2 for x64, Build b4e50a4e from Apr 8 2020, 23:18:02, V-Ray core version is 4.30.02
    RailClone Lite 4.0.9

We're seeing different UV results in V-Ray Standalone than in 3ds Max. Tiles in the middle of the array are showing rotated textures only in Standalone (far right image). Both Linux and Windows versions of Standalone seem to render the same way. Example scene attached. Thank you for any help!

    Hello,

Thanks for the feedback. Indeed, the results in Standalone seem to be incorrect. I'll inform our developers about the matter (internal bug tracked ID: VMAX-10277).

    Best regards,

P.S. I would suggest turning off the "Use instancing engine option", which can be found under Railclone's display rollout, render section. This may be used as a temporary workaround when rendering in Standalone.
