  • V-Ray Standalone renders Cellular differently on Windows vs. Linux

Cellular map is marked as fully supported on CPU and GPU, but it produces different results on each of the three renderers: V-Ray Next 3ds Max, V-Ray Standalone Windows, V-Ray Standalone Linux.

We understand Cellular is old, but it is used in many of our assets and scenes.

Here's a GIF of Standalone Win vs Standalone Linux. Red is pixels >3% difference.

    V-Ray Standalone, version Next Standalone, update 3.2 for x64, Build b4e50a4e from Apr 8 2020, 23:18:02, V-Ray core version is 4.30.02

    Thanks!

We've tested rendering on Standalone both on a Windows 10 machine and Linux centos6 machine, however, the results were absolutely identical. As mismatches appear to be happening on numerous cases in your scenes, would it be possible to share some details in regards to your hardware on all the machines you are testing, thanks.
