  • Vray 5 - Denoiser not respecting the opacity value from VFB

    Hi,

Vray 5 VFB is not saving the denoised image with opacity applied when is enabled path for saving the separate render elements, instead is saving like there is not set opacity to the render.
When I resave from VFB it is working as should.
    Anyone experiencing this issue?

    Regards,
    Nikola

    Hi Nikola,

When using Separate render channels, it will save individual raw RGB channel and Denoiser channel (Denoiser RE with full effect in respect to the RGB - as if Opacity was set to 1.00). It is how it's currently working, since opacity can be adjusted in post.

To achieve the desired effect, you will need to set Source: Composite in the VFB, and add a Render Element layer (see layer tree example here). The Opacity value will then take effect when saving output from the Separate render channels option. Hope that helps!
