  • vray hdri map has black line in far area

Hello, vray hdri map has black line in far area(sky and sea), how to solve this problem? I'm using vray 5, vray dome light and phoenix ocean. Thanks.

    Hi wensk,

Can you let me know if this is happening with and without an HDR map? Would it be possible to share your ocean shaders' settings?

Can you make sure your HDRI is set to Spherical?
If you are using a V-Ray Plane, you can either move it down a little bit or completely remove it and create a huge plane below the simulator. Assign a black material to it so you can get the shading of the particle correct without the horizon issues.

If none of this helps, best would be to attach a sample scene reproducing this here or send it over to support@chaosgroup.com so we can have a better look. Make sure to mention this thread in the email along with your exact V-Ray/PhoenixFD/3ds max versions. Thanks!

Simply change to using Blinn and it will go away.
This has been discussed here and solved https://forums.chaosgroup.com/forum/...ine-at-horizon
