  • GPU usage when rendering with CPU ?

    Hello,

noticed something strange (?). I launched a rendering using DR CPU, as usual, and i noticed that the GPU (rtx3090) was at 15-20%, even if i did nothing special, just watching the Task Manager.
When the CPU rendering was finished, the GPU came back at 1-2%

Is this normal ? What's going on when with the GPU when rendering on CPU ?

    Thanks!

Could be some hardware accelerated VFB effects?

Lens Effects aren't enabled in the rendering

tested on another workstation, same result with 15-20% of GPU usage when rendering (1080ti)

muoto do you have Denoiser enabled? If Post Effects Rate is set to update frequently, then 15-20% of GPU usage during rendering should be normal. Are you testing with the same scene?

Nope, no denoiser, same scene, same two workstation just 2 different video cards (1080ti and 3090), same max, same vray

Could you share a piece of the scene which shows the behaviour with Support, then?
