  • 360 Rendering Issue

    Hello,
I am currently working on producing a high quality 360 image on a VR glass. When the lighting level is set to low (using IES VRay light file) the produced image is not clear with some spots on most of the surfaces. However, this issue does not appear when the IES file output is high, hence the light level is bright. My target is to maintain a lighting setting from the IES light file using no exposure control.
    Your help is highly appreciated.
    Cheers!

Is there a difference when using a default camera view rather than a spherical panorama? Also, does it happen with other IES files, since the issue could be from the IES configuration itself. Best send a sample scene and the IES in question either here or via the contact form so we can take a look? Mention this thread in the message.

There is no difference when using any Cam type, but the noise/spots are significantly noticed by VR glass more than the computer screen.

Regarding the IES file, I used more than one to check if the problem is related to the file itself or not. So, I think it is not related at all to the file. Moreover, I tried other types of light sources (e.g. VRray light), and I think that it is not related to the problem as well.

The photo below shows an example of the spots kinds

Does it happen on a fresh simple setup? Also, what kind of GI solution are you using? Do attach the scene here or send it via the contact form so we can take a look as already mentioned.

GI settings are: (Primary engine: Irradiance map), (Secondary engine: Light cache, with Subdivs = 2500),

I cannot seem to reproduce the issue. Best you send the scene for investigation.

No scene has been attached or sent through the contact form, could you try again?
