  • Can't update denoiser render element after loading an vrimage into VFB.

    Hi,
when rendering I use save "Separate render channels" and also the "V-Ray raw image file" option.

When/if coming back to an old project for re-render or whatever reason I used to be able to load the vrimg to the VFB and then update the denoiser from the render elements tab but now that option is greyed out.
Helpful when I want to region render a smaller part of the full image but still want to save the complete image (not only the region).

Any ideas to why this isn't possible anymore?

Make sure the Denoiser layer is visible in the VFB after loading (eye icon must be visible). Otherwise, could you share a video recording/screenshots, illustrating the issue? Are the images coming from a previous V-Ray version build and which one? Are the helper render elements (noiseLevel, defocusAmount, worldPositions, etc.) present in the image? Providing the image (and scene) would be helpful as well (attach it here or send it via the contact form addressing it to me in the subject and mentioning this thread in the message).

      Hi Aleksandar!
Thank you for your response. It works now. The eye icon is visible, however I didn't notice the update button in VFB2 until just now. See attached image. I only focused on the update button in the render elements tab. FYI it is indeed a scene created with an older version of V-Ray (V-Ray Next) but so far everything is working as expected.
