  • Abort render not working with gpu bucket sampler

When rendering with V-Ray GPU bucket sampler the abort/cancel render doesn't work but it does when using a progressive sampler.

    Hi sbghid

Can you clarify a bit here - do you mean the cancel button in the Render Progress window?
I can't seem to reproduce such issues - see attached recording: http://ftp.chaosgroup.com/support/sc...5_16-56-24.mp4

Can you provides with additional screen recordings so we can have a look what's happening on your end? Thanks!

      Hi Nikoleta,

Thanks for the prompt reply, and sorry for duplicating the post on GPU section. Yes exactly that was my problem, I was testing Vray 5.1 update with Vray GPU render engine using hybrid on bucket sampler,
but when I cancelled the render halfway it didn't stop calculating and the only way to stop it is to endtask 3dsmax, also render estimated time shoot to 2 hours which only took about 30 mins when i was using
vray 5 hotfix 2. I'll try to send video when I get back to office, Im using Nvidia rtx 8000 + intel Xeon.

        Hi sbghid,

Thanks for the details, best would be to forward a recording with any steps to reproduce, or if it is happening with a specific project - please pack it with all the assets and send it over.
Also, make sure to install the latest recommended NVIDIA GPU drivers.
