    Hi guys,
    some major bug is going on with these two features used together. Could you please check on your end.
    Either no randomisation happens or triplanar is weirdly offseted.
    This is a major bummer for us.
    It looks like the problem is in triplanar itself as we gat very weird offsets from local object coordinates.
    Replicable on any newly created scene.
    MAX 2021
    Got confirmation from Jiri Matys with the same issue.
    Ideas? Workaround for now?

    Hi Martin,

    I'll check right away, but can you provide a simple scene here? It will be way quicker than just random testing.
    If it was that easy, it would have already been done

        once you open the scene, hit render, youll see the boxes upfront render fine. then try attaching the boxes together and test rendomisation again. doesnt work anymore.
        seems only to be working on single geos not elements.
        also seem to have problems with triplanar offsets by default...i though they derive from the objects local coords (pivot) but it seems unlikely

          Hi guys,

          Sorry for the delayed reply. So the problem was in the 2 textures combination + "Random by element" that dated from the official V-Ray 5 release and nobody complained (strange).

          It is fixed for the upcoming Hotfix2, but if you are in a hurry you can always use the latest stable nightly.
          If it was that easy, it would have already been done

                The mentioned Hotfix2 will be an official release (5.1.2). If everything turns out as planned it will come by the end of the week.
                If it was that easy, it would have already been done

                  Hi Peter, i went through the notes in the announcement but havent seen the fix on the list.
                  Has the fix made it into hotfix that went live yesterday?
