  • Vray rendering poly edges

Having a problem with Vray rendering poly edges. The geometry all has turbosmooth modifier applied to it. The Vray denoiser is making it look worse. I have tried: increasing max subdivs in the render, adding smooth modifiers, changing the noise threshold and adjusting the lighting, but still get the same result. Is there something in the Vray render settings that I am missing?

It seems to be only happening on certain pieces, so maybe it is the either the shader on those pieces or possibly weird geometry.
Why not post a piece of it with the shader and we can take a look? Include the lighting maybe.

Thanks for the offer. I believe I have figured out a reasonable work around. I increased the reiterations from 2 to 4 on the Turbosmooth modifier on the geometry. The effect is still there but much smaller/less noticeable and the Vray Denoiser smooths this out.

Do you have a normal map in the shader?
        A.

Yeah, it shouldn't need any workaround, as it should not happen normally....something is causing it

Best send the scene (or attach it here) via the contact form so we can take a look. Mention my name in the subject and include a link to this thread in the message.
