  • vraycomptex not previewing multiply in latest build

So when I use multiply the preview of the material doesn't change at all. I use vraycolour as a second map. If I use add it works normally.

    Hi Crayox13

Can't notice such issues on a simple test, can you share some screengrabs/step to reproduce? Thanks!

So I have a beige vray colour that I'm multiplying my texture with. In the first screen it's an "add" and it's ok, in the second it's multiply and the result shown is grey, as if vray colour map has no saturation.
Btw what do you use to video capture your screen?

        Hi Crayox13,

Is it just a matter of the preview update? I've made another test but still can't reproduce. Can you make sure that the Manual Update option is disabled from the Material Editor Options? What if you switch material editors or disable/enable auto updates?

Yes, manual is disabled and if I double click to get a bigger preview it's the same. How can I record this to show you?
          Also I'm using 5.10.02 build 00002

I use this a lot and haven't noticed this issue before but not sure when it started.

Thanks for the clarifications. You can use ShareX, for example, to get a gif recording.

One other thing you could try is reset the max preferences, not sure if it would help. Alternatively, get in touch with us via our contact form so we can schedule a remote session and troubleshoot on the spot. Make sure to mention this thread in the email, thanks.

Please see this link...it doesn't seem to be a MAX problem since "add" works fine.

I just noticed this bug is not present in my new scene so it could be something about that scene or texture combo that is causing it so maybe you can disregard this.
