  • Vray Spawner exe file missing on a render slave

    Hi,

I've just installed 3ds Max 2022 and Vray 5.10.2 on a render slave machine. The issue is that I can't find the vrayspawner exe file. It's missing. Please see the screenshot below of my search result in the Max 2022 folder and the Control Panel to see that it was indeed installed. I reinstalling it 3 times with no luck. Also, Vray was installed as render slave (not workstation, not stand alone).

    Hello,

For 3ds Max 2022 we use the Autodesk plugin package format - all goes to C:\ProgramData\Autodesk\ApplicationPlugins\VRay3ds Max2022\. The spawner is in the bin folder - C:\ProgramData\Autodesk\ApplicationPlugins\VRay3ds Max2022\bin

    Best regards,

      Thanks, that was it!

By the way, shouldn't there be a Start menu entry for it too? It doesn't show up there.

The Windows start menu is magic Ideally there should be shortcuts located in C:\ProgramData\Microsoft\Windows\Start Menu\Programs\V-Ray 5 for 3ds Max 2022\
