  • Extreme render times using multiple Vray clipper objects

    Hey,

I'm rendering an engine that's being sliced in by Vray clippers so you can see the inner workings of the engine. I sent the job to the render farm as a tiled job, most tiles took around 2-5 minutes with one area taking around 6 hours. All tiles had a resolution of 1504x676. The tiles in the center of the image took over 1 day, with the longest rendering for 1 day and 14 hours. Unfortunately I cant post the scene file as it's sensitive data. I used default Vray settings except I used BF/BF. Vray Next, Update 3.

Does anyone have an idea why this happens? I also get strange artifacts in one area that are present in all the passes.

Without being able to see an image, or a scene setup, it's terribly hard to figure out what's doing what.
