  • Vray render slave not working with 3ds Max 2022

    Hi,

I've tried using a render slave machine with Max 2022, but it's not working. When I start Vrayspawner I see its icon in the tray and the Max 2022 splash screen appears saying I have 30 days in trial mode. Such splash screen has never appeared before with previous versions of Max. Could this have something to do with the problem? BTW, the same render slave works fine with Max 2021 DR jobs.

I think I fixed the issue! Today I tried probably for the 5th time to render with that machine and this time a Windows message popped up asking if I want to allow 3ds Max 2022 to use the network. I'm not sure why this message didn't show up the first time I started Vray Spawner for Max 2022.

It seems like Autodesk restricted 3ds Max start without activating the trial version.

Yea, it's possible. Thankfully everything seems to be fine now.

It turns out that this is fixed with the 3ds Max 2022.0.1 Hotfix
