  • Extremely large vraylog.txt files

We are having issues with extremely large vraylog.txt files on our render nodes.
They are ranging from 4GB to 90GB, i don't really know why they are so big or what's inside of them, they are too large to open in a text editor.

There might have been a flood of error messages that could produce a file so huge. We would need to take a look to confirm. Could you archive the 4GB log and send it via the contact form (or attach a download link here)? Address it to me in the subject and mention this thread in the message.

Thanks for the file. Something strange seems to be happening. It seems there is some kind of a loop between the loading and preparing for rendering phase. Could you also share the specific scene from which the file was generated in the above-mentioned manner?

i will try, its a pretty big scene with a lot of assets.
Do you need all the bitmaps or just the max files?

All scene assets are needed for us to replicate the issue. Unless, of course, you manage to reproduce it with a simplified version of the scene.

It only happens on large scenes, is there a way to disable writing to vraylog.txt? I tried clearing the vraylog path but the render servers are still writing to the file.

Clearing the vraylog path should work, I just tested it without an issue. You may lower the verbose level to 1 (only error/warning messages), which would certainly lower the size of the log. Do send this log to us in the meantime.
