VrayHDRI Problem

I have a problem where my VRayHDRI images go completely black in the Materials/Map browser and my lighting/reflections totally disappear. Shutting down Max, restarting and reloading the scene fixes the problem.

We have 2 machines and it happens once in a while on both.

It's more of an annoyance than a big problem. Anybody had something similar or a workaround?

sounds like a memory problem.
how much ram have you got?

2 GB. Dual Opteron 250s. The models are quite large so memory is a possibility.
