  • Vray render slave stopped working after my 3ds Max 2022 trial expired?

Today my 3ds Max 2022 trial on the render slave machine expired. Strangely, I can also no longer use that machine for DR rendering. Is this related to the Max 2022 trial expiring? I've never had this problem before with any other version of Max. I've just made a quick test and I can still use Max 2021 and do a DR render just fine even though it's also a trial version that has expired. So it doesn't appear to be a network or Vray license issue.

Here's a quote from the Max 2022 help page about network rendering:
Note: You needn't license 3ds Max on machines to be used only as rendering servers.
So why can I not render with that machine after the trial expired when it clearly states that I don't need a license? What should I do now to continue using Vray for Max 2022 on the render slave?

    Hello,

I think there was a bug with the initial version of Max 2022 itself - even the render servers required activation. I also think they fixed it at some point - so you should update your Max version.
