Hello there.
Here's my problem :
- working with 3dsmax (2021.3) & vray 4.30.03
I import hair simulated in Houdini into a vrayproxy (.abc)
For the moment it work really fine (except the size of abc caches ^^)
If i have a shot of 200 frames and my character goes out at frame 100. The frame range of the simulation should be 0-100 (instead of 0-200)
But, when in the viewport i goes to frames 100+ all my vrayproxy are showing a huge cube, probably because they don't find anymore File_####.abc for fur.
There is no hair to render so the render is not affected but the viewport is not workable.
For the moment we worked-around by switching the proxy to 'point' display but we can't see hair in viewport and that's problematic.
Any solutions for that ?
We think about having empty simulations file for the entire frame range maybe ?
Thanks
