  • Deep Rendering - Sampling on edges

    Hi guys!

I'm working with deep rendering at the moment. I ran into this issue where the edges of Vray Fur seem to be jagged and don't look clean. I've already turned down the deep merge threshold to 0.1 . I don't even know if that's the right place to look for.
Can anyone tell me what causes this issue or how I can fix it in Nuke maybe? I've also attached a screenshot showing the edges.

    My Setup: Vray 5 on 3DsMax 2022
I've rendered the fur parts an the pink stuff separately

    Thank you!
    Marco

Seems like an alpha problem to me. Just tested this on a simple scene with a threshold of 0.1 (By Render ID and Z-Depth) and I don't see any issues. Could you send a stripped version of the scene and Nuke composition so we can take a look? Mention me and include a link to this thread.

      Hey!
I managed to find my mistake. I didn't use "By Redner ID and Z-Depth". I even don't have to go down to 0.1 on the threshold now!

      Thank you
