  • Reflection dim through refracted material

    Hello.

I found a problem trying to make some bubbles inside a refractive material. I'm not sure if this is the correct behaviour but I think this worked in different manner in the past.
The problem is that the bubbles inside the refractive material lost their reflectivity, well not lost but it gets so dimmed that is not visible unless you crank up the IOR for the reflections.

In one of the screenshots you can see the default behaviour where the reflection of the bubbles is not visible and in the other screenshot the reflection its visible when I rise the IOR to 4.

Is this the normal behaviour or I am doing something wrong?

If you make your water ior refr 1.33 or whatever you like for another liquid, then make the bubbles ior refr 1.0...with enough traces it will work fine.
EDIT: What I meant to point out was that you had both the water and the bubbles the same refractive ior, which was the main issue
