  • Blocky banding issue with renders

Hello all, I have worked all day toggling different settings to try to get rid of the bands in the below render, it appears no matter what material is used. I have tried several combinations of Light cache/brute force/irradiance map and cannot seem to figure out what is causing this. There is nothing about the scene that seems to correspond with the shapes of the bands and they show up the same no matter what. I have replaced the wall, disabled/removed the lights as well and that doesn't make a difference. I see the same artifact on other walls in this scene as well, it seems like it has to be an issue with my settings. Can anyone point me in the right direction?

Could be the famous adaptive light issue. Try switching adaptive off on your dome light, or switch render settings from adaptive to full evaluation. Or, you can try brute force only GI engine.

What Sean said. Do send the scene via the contact form so we can determine the exact cause. Mention me and include a link to this thread in the message.
