  • Specular and Reflections Issue when Caustics ON - Vray 5.1 for Max 2022.2

Hi. I was testing some liquid simulations in a very simple scene when realized that when I turn on the Caustics, the specular is gone and the reflections also get affected.
No matter if I use Photon Map or Progressive... they have the same issue.
Here is the link to the scene if you wanna check it: https://drive.google.com/file/d/1G-a...ew?usp=sharing

    Specs:
    Vray 5.1
    3ds Max 2022.2

    Am I missing something?

    Thanks in advance.

Seems similar to the issue in this thread. Just so you know, we are already working on a fix. For now, use the Mesh Light workaround.

I reported this bug about 4 years ago already. As usual, nothing ever happened after that.

It's already fixed in the internal builds, you'll see it officially in the upcoming Update 2 by the end of this month.
If it was that easy, it would have already been done
