  • Denoiser render element missing in exported vrimg files

    Hello,
I need to render an animation and I want to export the Denoiser Render Element to use in Vray Denoiser Tool. But no matter what I do, the Denoiser Render Element is not saved in the vrimg files. Render Element is set to "only generate render elements" and I use the OCIO plug-in for aces.

I also need to make sure Chaos Cloud saves the Denoiser Render Element.

How can I make sure it is always saved in the image?

You seem to have confused the VRayDenoiser modes' functionality. Using the "Only generate render elements" is meant to be used when denoising an image in a later stage through the VRayDenoiser standalone tool. This mode does not produce a VRayDenoiser channel, since no denoising has taken place. To get a separate VRayDenoiser channel, use the "Show denoiser result channel" option.
We recommend using the vdenoise.exe for denoising animations, so you may stick to your current settings. You will get a separate denoised version of the file after utilizing the tool.

Yes, that's what I want to do, but denoiser tool doesn't work on images I render out, but on all images from the Chaos Cloud (same scene). It's probably very simple, but I don't know what I do wrong. Could you check a test rendering if there is a denoise element for a denosier tool to work with?

I think I found my mistake. I was using the 3ds Max output under the common tab. When I use "Vray raw image file" in the Vray / Frame buffer tab it works like a charm.

It will work also with the max output, but you'll have to check the box in the dialog that pops up to automatically add all REs.
