  • Anti-aliasing problem in cryptomatte when using Multi/sub material for one object

Applying cryptomatte to multi/sub material on one object and performing color correction causes anti-aliasing issues.
In versions prior to 5.1, it is not a problem because multi/sub material was not supported.
Anti-aliasing problems arise from supporting multi/sub material.

Any solution? When using vrayproxy, it is inevitable to use multi/sub material for one object.
In large-scale scenes, it is not possible to de-detach each object individually.

    - Color correction was done by vrayfremebuffter (VFB).

    Hello,

I tried different scenarios but couldn't reproduce the issue. Could you sent over the scene to philip.shounev@chaosgroup.com for investigation as there might be something specific leading to those anti-aliasing problems?

    Best regards,
    Philip

I confirm that there's an issue when assigning Multi/Sub-object material to one object with VRayCryptomatte mask added. I've logged it in our internal bug tracker (issue ID: VMAX-11577).

      Best,
