Vray 5.2 doesn't render. Stuck on preparing global light manager.

As the title says. I updated to 5.2 on 3dsmax 2021 on Windows 10 20H2 and it wont go past the preparing global light manager part.

I uninstalled and reinstalled twice to no avail so I went back to 5.13 and it works fine.

Any idea what could be the matter? Do I need any new GPU drivers? Currently on Studio 461.72

Do let us know what happens if you update the drivers.

496 drivers are faster, and more stable. The driver you have is very old
You will find the latest recommended driver in the GPU page here https://www.chaosgroup.com/vray-gpu near the top

@nikoleta.garkova Nope, I've tried multiple scenes and they all failed to render.

@Muhammed_Hamed I think there is a mistake here. The latest studio drivers don't go past 472.39 which were released about a week ago. What is listed om the chaos website are game drivers.

In any case ill update the drivers and see if that helps.

Edit: Just tested it out with the new drivers and it rendered fine. But a new issue popped up when trying to open the Vray Material Library Browser, I get an error about couldn't load ParaBlock2 and then the brick material preview images don't show up. (I'm not sure what else might be wrong.)

Yeah, Game drivers are fine as well. As long as it is recommended in the GPU page. We test these extensively prior to publishing
