  • Decal mask instance not propagated to decal instance

As the title suggests, if there is an instanced mask, then making an instance or copy of the decal does not also instantiate the mask.

So, you have for example a VRayDecal with a Checker as a mask and when you instance the decal the checker texture is not an instance? I may have misunderstood, since this works as expected on my end.

Yes that's what I mean...odd that it works for you.

I have around 15 decals and I wanted the same vray colour instanced in them all, but it doesn't work for me....I have to drag it back in and instance it each time I make a copy.
Maybe it's the Vray colour...I'll try with a checker when my sequence finishes.

Seems to work with VRayColor as well. Isn't your mask node name identical to the original VRayDecal's? Or a copy of it is created for each instance of the decal?
