Why does my material change direction when i render

When i work on my project , adding and adjusting materials to a table top as an example, then when i start the render the material direction changes?
I have attached 2 screen shot.
The veneer pattern is made up of individual faces.

Is it the new V-Ray materials? They use the VRayTriplanarTex texture, which to me is a pain in my rear. It screws me up every time.

Yes, it is the new materials I'm using. Any idea how to work around it?

You have to go into the materials settings in the material manager. Try using the roof material... it is impossible. You'll have to create a material for every plane.
