  • VRayColor sometimes does not match Swatch (Bug)

    Hello Chaos Team,

There has been a bug where the VRayColor does not represent what color is selected in the swatch. The Preferences are set to Gamma 2.2 and Affect Color Selector and Material Editor in both cases. I attached two files, one where the VRayColor matches the swatch, and one where it doesn't. What makes me believe this is a bug, is that when I bring in the broken node into the other file with a material library, and first open the VrayColor swatch on the working node, the other node starts working as well. However if I first open the broken swatch, the working node will be broken too.

In both file, selecting a color in a color correction node works just fine. Any thoughts on what could cause this?

    Confirmed.
Funkier still, if you put the material in the compact material editor, change the color a little bit, it snaps to the right one.
Fiddling with the color in slate, however, produces monsters.

I thought it was because you had fileingamma and fileoutgamma at 1.0, but setting both to 2.2 makes no difference, the behaviour isn't tied to the max settings at all.

      Thanks for confirming!
For me even if the VRayColor node is in the compact editor, it does not consistently produce the right output:
