  • Vray & Ornatrix = No Motion blur

Is there something I'm not aware of here? I have tried setting up the scene with both the fast raytracer in the environment>atmospherics dialogue, and through the OxVray hair helper. None of these ,methods yield any motion blur. (Rendering in vray v.1.47.03)
Is this a known issue, and will it then be possible to fix?

I don't think Ornatrix supports motion blur at all. It would be best to ask the authors though.

    Best regards,

Well, I must say I'm quite disappointed in that you are c absolutely correct. Though I have not found any information in the documentation, or their forums even. Had I known this, I never would have pitched that plugin to my co-workers. Seems I'm going to be stuck with the hair extension hair, maybe even outputting geometry hair if memory doesn't become an issue.

Is there any chance vray will ever be able to read the mentalray hair primitive, the same way as you have your own hair primitive (or have I misunderstood that bit), that the shave and haircut system feeds to mentalray? Or does it already do that? (Seem to remember testing that with no result). Maybe even get shave & haircut to output a vray hair primitive
That kind of feature would be really neat for the standalone version, as well as if you built in support for reading rib archives.
