  • Using "VRayMultiSubTex" inside "VRayDistanceTex" (Inside Color Slot)

    Hi guys

Im Trying to using VRayDistanceTex to paint some colors on the wall as in the attaeched refrence using the inside sold color option and it's working as is shoud
but when I use VRayMultiSubTex as the color source I couldn't get the randomness from it by the VRayDistanceTex objects, am always getting only one color

is it possible to do this ?
or there is an issue with my setup

    here is my setup

That would work if the wall itself has i.e different material IDs since the randomness is based on the object (and its data), on which the shader is applied. The VRayDistanceTex seems to complicate things in your scenario -you can simply trace the objects' contour onto the wall through a ShapeMerge, change their material IDs and use the MultiTex only.

The Wall color is coming from the Far Color in the VRayDistanceTex

of course, I can do it modeling and assigning different ID's per polygon but what I'm trying to do here is something procedural that I can change and play with just by adding more objects in the VRayDistanceTex

I tried all the options in the VRayMultiSubTex (Object ID, Face ID, Random, By Element ..etc) and my objects have different ID's, but still, it's not working

As I said, the data is taken from the shader-applied object (the wall).
