  • Vray Frame Buffer Restarts Render

Hello hope you all are doing well.

I'm using Vray 5 in 3DS Max and I have this issue where I can't complete a render in Vray frame buffer. The VFB gets to about image pass 200 and then restarts the render from the beginning.
This problem occurs both when using GPU and CPU rendering. I have confirmed I'm not rendering an animation. I'm at a loss and would appreciate any suggestions.

Does the Log say anything at all?

      Thank you for your response!
The log notes something like 160 warnings but there are no errors. When the VFB restarts the render the log does not say anything out of the ordinary.

Could these warnings be causing this problem?

Vray, FPpro, and 3dsmax are all the latest versions.

I was in a bit of a rush when making this post last night and to provide an update, the problem is not the most intrusive of issues. I discovered today that this issue only occurs when I use the Interactive Production Rendering option. Turns out I can complete renders if I avoid the IPR option.

I'm sorry you're experiencing it, even if somewhat minor.
Support would love it if you could send them the scene.
No rush, but if you headed to the main site and used the form, mentioning this thread, they'd surely want to take a look.
