Currently you can map an image to a Vray plane, and it will repeat out to inifnity, but its very difficult to estimate the correct size of the image. Are there any plans for future versions of Vray to be able to apply a UVW map to a very plane?

I think a texture will fill completely a square of 100 x 100 generic units with the default bitmap tiling parameters, so you can use that as an estimate.
