3ds max 2016 keep crash when adding any light

Hi, when trying add any V-Ray light to scene max is crashing.

I have the same problem with the latest Vray 5. The first Vray5 version works fine. So that is a temporary fix.

The latest Update 2 Hotfix 2 should have a hotfix for this. Are you using it or an older version ?

I tried the updated version but unfortunately it didn't work. As Sidow said, it works flawlessly with the first version.

I just updated from vray 3.06.03 to vray 5 update 2.2 and had the EXACT same issue as deyan_asenov. Tried to create a vray plane light / vray dome light and 3ds max 2016 instantly crashed.
Which version did you say it was stable deyan?

4.30.02 is stable right now. By the way, Vantage Live Link does not work with this version.

Thank you deyan_asenov for the reply. I've managed to install the 5.1.3 version and the vray lights are working, apparently so does everything else . Did not test any other version, since the 5.1.3 worked for me and I need to render some images.

I know that the 3ds max 2016 version is not officially supported, but i'm also sure the mods wont forget about us. Hope this bug is solved in the next updates and we can install the latest versions safely. Cheers!
