  • Refraction anolmaly

There seems to be a problem with multiple refractions through a vray material. The image consists of a pole and a series of glass panes ( vray material with reflection at 100%, fresnel on and 100% refraction ). The panes are all instances of the same flat box object.

The refraction through the first pane is fine, so is the second, but through the third it jumps, likewise through the fourth.

Is this a bug or have I missed something?

Your page says "Image not visible", but I suppose you need to adjust the max. reflection depth for your materials.

    Best regards,

You need to set the SRC of the image properly, right now it is linked to a path on your local harddrive, so we can't see it.

Thanks guys, thats it. Refraction depth had been set to 5 causing the effect in the image ( now correctly uploaded ). Setting the depth to 6 fixed it.

        Thanks for the quick response.
