  • vray5. 2.1 the material node vraymultisubtex appears to be invalid

I want to make a random texture floor and use VRayMultiSubTex to add random colors to different textures. I don't know if I operate the VRayMultiSub node without any effect. Can you help me answer it?
    I use v-ray for 3dsMax2021

Hi it depends what you are doing. Please check the documentation about VRayMultisubTex - https://docs.chaos.com/display/VMAX/VRayMultiSubTex

I made a quick scene consisting of 10 separate boxes arranged like planks in a wooden floor

You see I have used the modes "random" and "By render ID". This is because the planks are separate boxes. If they were for instance elements from a single editable poly we would use random by element.
