  • Issue with Hybrid DR. Stuck at transferring assets.

Hello, I'm facing weird problem with GPU+CPU DR.
I can start rendering on slave and local machine but after some amount of frames, for example 20 render, server log and both machines get stuck at "uploading texture" stage and never begins "Loading bitmaps" stage. This issue came out after I did clean update to 2.2 Any ideas what can cause it?
Scene is very lightweight and shouldn't be problem to transfer few textures. I've tried reinstalling V-Ray and gpu drivers but no luck. Firewall exceptions added. No errors. Tried changing portNumber and still no luck.

    Thanks for any input!

Still trying to solve it but nothing good comes out. It have 100% tendency to freeze at 21st frame of animation. Everytime.

Sorry to hear you are having issues Lukas.
What GPUs/CPUs do you have? do you use a render manager for DR?
Best is to attach the scene, so we can reproduce on our side

      Best,

        I'm using two machines:
        Local - Intel i7-10700k, 32 Gb, RTX 4000
        Secondary - Ryzen 9 5900X, 32 Gb, 1080Ti 11g

I'm not using any managers, only spawner.

            Hi lukas_margelis,

We made tests using your scene file and DR with one workstation and render slave. There is no issue rendering 50-60 frames and more here.
Would it be possible to submit us a ticket, so we can arrange a remote session and see troubleshoot on your machine. Please use the contact form here.
            Please also mention this thread.

            Thanks.

I've found the problem why it was happening. Actually not with this scene, but other one. Solution worked for both scenes. The slave CPU was overclocked and some cores wasn't stable enough and because of them, Vray kept crashing. I tweaked OC settings a little, and managed to solve this problem with better rendering times as a result. Thanks for the help anyway!
