Using Embree results in Unhandled Exception: Preparing Ray Server

Sorry if this has been asked before, but I'm trying to render a scene and keep getting the attached error message. I also attached the settings I'm using for GI and Render Settings.

Turning off "Use Embree" the scene works, and it actually renders but it takes a long time. I have 384GB of Ram in my computer and I wonder if that is not enough since the scene is very complex (480 million polys and lots of Displacement, render resolution is 3556x2000) but I'm sure I'm not balancing the settings correctly.

Enabling "Conserve Memory" does not help. :/

Hard to say without the scene. For starters, do monitor your memory usage and post your findings. Also, there used to be issues, which occurred because the scene was very far away from the origin (XYZ 0,0,0); they were usually solved by disabling Embree, Is that the case on your end?
