  • Vray Multisubtex randomisations incompatible 5.20.01 VS 5.20.20

    Hi guys,

we are having really hard time with the changes you have done with Vray Multisubtex randomisation options.

Now that there are only 3 options left, all the randomisations we had before are rendergin differently in the better case, in the worse case they are rendering as grey textures as all the randomisation options are ticked off.

I am sorry to say this for the first time on this forum but WTF????

All the scenes we worked on for past year at least are completely messed up when it comes to randomised materials and boy we use it almost everyhwere.

What can we please do to make it work as it shoud?
It simply cant be you coudl do such thing to such important node without it being able to keep its settings.

Thanks of info, reply, fix, whatever.

    Hello,

Which exact V-Ray versions are you using ? In the latest ones the Multisubtex should be fully backwards compatible. When opening old scenes the random mode from the old scene should be read and converted to the new random modes (random + some of the options checked). Saving scenes with no changes to the texture should also be compatible with older versions (open and save a scene in 5.20.02, open in older versions).

    Best regards,

Yes it should be compatible. If you are having issues - can you share some scenes ?
