May I give you a suggestion?
You seem too focused on caustics but before thinking about the caustics there are hundreds of things that you can do to improve your scene and that will be much more noticeable.
That being said you should not expect too much from the new caustic solver, from my experience it works nicely on simple setup but other than that a traditional caustic photon map with some tweaks here and there will work everywhere and give you better results, and much faster.

Hi I suggest you try and build something of your own instead of using someone else's scenes.

Also this pool is light almost entirely by diffused light. Not every lighting setup will give you super bright super sharp caustics and it shouldn't since it will not be physically accurate.

No wonder your results are shit, you're using an Evermotion scene. Evermotion has not been known for proper scenes /materials so as Vladimir said give it a go with a properly set up scene. These are probably older scenes with poor materials,... Nevertheless I don't know how you pulled it off but you managed to make it look even worse than the original. Those 'waves' from the pool are huge for a semi indoor pool, unless you have some jacuzzi stuff going on in there.

What the hell are you guys talking about first who gives a crap if I use evermotion scenes they are constructed well and there is nothing wrong with them just because your little precious progressive caustics solver cannot handle real production scenes with proper complex indoor pool scenarios doesn't make the guys at evermotion crap in fact it only shows all of your incompetence and arrogance good thing Jesus Christ is in control and not you guys and your inferior programming bahahahahaha Yahweh for the WIN and diffused light WTF? its a close directional vray sun LOLOLOLOLOLOLOL

Um....well....Wow...I normally wouldn't comment on posts like this, as I could see where it was going.
However, you crossed a line with both an increasingly combative and insulting tone and now the inclusion of some insane religious
              diatribe.
I would suggest you check yourself and consider your content before posting.
Undoubtedly most here will now simply ignore anything posted by yourself.

madcat117 please be respectful to the other participants in this forum. Consider this as an official warning.

Posting the same thing over and over again is not the way, we already got your point - you want the caustics solver to be improved. If you really want to help, as stated in one of the other threads - it will be very beneficial if you have an example of a renderer that meets your expectations.
If it was that easy, it would have already been done
