    Hello

    We are importing hair alembic in vrayProxy and we have a problem with character far from camera.
    (3dsmax 2021.3, vray 4.30.3)


    The Edge Length at default 4 seems to make some inaccuracies and character looks bald.

    A value at 2 seems to make things a bit better.
    Un-ticking tessellate hair resolve the problem for far characters but near ones are totally not smoothed.

    Any informations about what's going on here ? or any workaround ?

    The edge division is in screen space.
    Set it to 1 pixel, and see if that cures the issue when the character is far away.
    Otherwise, you'll have to res up the incoming ABC hair so that it works without further, rendertime subdivision (or with a coarser one).
