  • Error during rendering

    Hello, we have error in with rendering. And don't know hot to solve it. When we have this error and DR rendering on scenes on slaves crash and not render image (at least we think that this is problem)
    V-ray 5, update 2.3 (5.20.23 build 00001)

      Hi as far as I can tell you are using light path expressions. Are you sure there are no mistakes with the way you implemented them? Here is the docs page about light path expressions: https://docs.chaos.com/display/VMAX/...th+Expressions

      Are you having these issues only with distributed rendering or also if you render the same scene locally?

        Hello. I don't use Light Patch expression at all. I even removed LightMix and error still there, so no LightSelect RE. ANd yes, it's happens with DR

              Hi after careful investigation I found a bug.
              You have materials in your scene that have a "@" symbol in their names. This combined with VRayCoatSpecular render element leads to VRayLog error message like the one you shared above. It prevents the slaves from rendering.
              The issue is reproducing in a simple scene. Just create a material, name it for instance test@test, add VRayCoatSpecular RE and it will start showing up.
